Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to offer a Technological Resilience model that allows small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the textile Subsector of the garment manufacturing and manufacturing of Mexico to face the adversities caused by the abrupt or disruptive transformations of Information and communication technologies (ICT). The proposal has been constructed through the literature revision and six cases results that reflect that managers are aware of the importance of ICTs for the achievement of commercial objectives, thus they need to invest resources in software and / or hardware to foster their supply chain in order to increase its capacity to protect their enterprises against adverse technological events. Considering limited financial resources to deal with, it is recommended to use of public programs to support the acquisition and renewal of new computer technologies.
