Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the relationship between the strategic human resource management and the professional transition, identifying the social and economic impact it will have in the future, given the upcoming end of the demographic bonus. This research highlights challenges that SMEs need to address in order to create competitive advantages based on current demographic conditions. Existing approaches are insufficient to meet the challenges ahead. From the literature review, it is concluded that no studies of youth have been carried out in Mexico from the business perspective. The originality of this article is to present an organizational framework from which to define, understand and develop young people, supporting their professional transition, and financially impacting the organization, as well as the country in the medium and short term
