Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to show through a strategic comparative analysis between the Mondragon Cooperative and cooperatives that produce olive oil in Andalusia, the inefficiencies of the
latter. To do this SWOT analysis, Value Chain and Porter’s Five Forces are made. The main results
show that lack of vertical integration, the high degree of fragmentation, lack of technology for
lack of institutions of R+D+i and the lack of qualified personnel, among other factors, lead to the
inefficiency of Andalusian oleic cooperatives
