Abstract

The speed with which global changes arise as a result of globalization processes, has forced companies of all kinds to seek alternatives that allow them to more efficiently satisfy market demands. Within this new arena of competition the construction sector is one of the economic sectors that has historically adopted a conservative stance, causing notorious lag in innovation compared to other industries, being one of the main factors the fragmentation of the industry for fear of imitation and lost of competitive advantage. The objective of this work is focused on the development of an integral theoretical model of innovation management, applicable to housing construction companies, whose main pillar is the creation of partnership networks, which promotes an increase in the competitiveness. This model is created from a literature review that allows analyzing the existing models and the needs of the sector, establishing niches of opportunity; from which the innovative development of the construction sector can be encouraged, based on systematic innovation management in the organizations
