The research objective was to identify the clusters impact on human development in Mexico. Human development indicators, cluster concept, and strategic sector concepts, were the referents used as the study conceptual basis. Simple regression analysis was used as methodology basis, considering the employment generated by the clusters as the predictor of the Human Development Indicator (HDI or IDH acronym in Spanish). The variables data were obtained from National Institute of Statistic and Geography (INEGI acronym in Spanish) 2009 and 2014 for employment and from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) 2008, 2010 and 2012 for the HDI. The results of the study showed moderate positive correlation employmentHDI for the years 2010 and 2012. From the regression models it was found a very low impact of employment on the HDI. As a conclusion, the study gives way for future research that includes other impact variables.
